It has been since November that I have seen Dr. Tabor. I have been planning to visit with him this summer. I decided last night that I was going to go see him today. I still keep in touch with some of the nurses so I had my morning all planned. I was going to get to his office with breakfast, let him meet Eddie and see Caroline and then head over to Jones Tower to see the nurses. Well, should've called! I got to Harris as planned at 8:00am. I knew that if I got there before he started seeing patients that he would have the time to visit with me before he got busy and then I would head over to Jones, visit a little bit and be home by 10:00. He was not at Harris FW today but at Harris South West. I decided that I was going to go to his office at SW for my visit and see the Jones girls another time. Why not I was already out and what else did I have to do!? I got to the hospital at 9:00 and they told me that he was not there and that he was running a little late. I understood. Having been a patient of his I completely understand how he is needed! I waited. He came about 10:30. At that time I knew he was about two hours behind his schedule so our visit was very short but at best meaningful to me. We don't talk much when I visit. He is real quiet and mostly stares at Caroline. I can't describe it really. I suppose you would have to know him to really understand him. I knew he needed to see his patients so Eddie gave him his blueberries, Lemon Tea Bread, Apples & Oranges and we took a picture and said goodbye. When I walked out there were SO many women waiting.
He is a great man and I am so grateful that I had him as my doctor. He cared for my babies in a way that no other could have. I am truly honored to know that although he was running late and had a room full of patients he still took the time to be with me.
