The Great Escape, from the heat.....seriously as I am posting this blog it is still over 100 degrees! As you all have read in the last post the weather in the geat Adirondacks proved to be a breath of fresh air for us dreading sunrise here in Texas each morning. On Wednesday morning we woke up and when we saw that it was not raining for the moment we packed up fast and headed towards the Great Escape! We arrived around 10:45 and had a wonderful morning and afternoon. It wasn't until about 3:00 that the rain started. By that time we were ready to leave anyway. I say that, meaning the adults. I think Eddie could've stayed longer.

Eddie, gramma, Caroline and I rode the horses. Caroline's first carousel horse ride. She loved it.

Jeremy rode the Comet.

Eddie and I went on the flying swings.

Eddie rode the boats.

He flew the planes.

And drove the cars.

We paused for a photo!

And then flew the hotair balloons.

The greatest part of the day was that there was hardly anyone there. The park was nearly empty which meant that when the ride ended, Eddie got right back in line. After awhile he started asking the workers if he could just stay on.
Next post......Thursday at the Children's Museum.
