The rain just didn't ever stop. I suppose it did, briefly for short periods of time, but it was just too wet to play in the sand or in the yard. My mom and I took the kids to the Children's Museum in Saratoga on Thursday. We had decided Wednesday night that given the forecast it would be mainly in Eddie's interest to venture out. I am so glad we did because we had an amazing visit. It was the first time visitng the museum for my mom and I. Besides the kids having a great time it gave my mom and I some together time. I love you mom!!

The first room we went into was the Arts & Crafts room. After being in this room, I am somehow going to find away to put a center in our house where the kids can imagine, create and invent. The tree that they are standing in front of is a place where the children who visit the A & C room leave there name.

Caroline loved this room. She was so happy to beable to just have fun.

This summer, Eddie and I have been working on "school stuff'", cutting, pasting, writing, drawing, etc. so this day was perfect for him. He loved the freedom to just get up and get whatever he needed to complete his project. Newspapers, scraps, buttons, shreds, tape, glue, stamps, paints.....you name it they had it.

Surprisingly they did sit together for awhile.

I have so many pictures of the museum that I had a difficult time deciding what to use for a blog. Here are a few.

Upstairs were model buildings of a community that included the Post Office, a grocery store, a HUGE Firetruck, a classroom, a bank, and a diner. Luckily there was a section for "crawlers" only that I put Caroline in so that I could enjoy Eddie exploring the community. Here he is at what would like an old grocery store.

I know, I said I put her in the "crawlers" section just a few moments ago. However, my darling wanted out and wanted to play also. Here she is in the classroom.

There were costumes for the children to dress in as well.

Eddie is standing in a bubble machine.
Well, I know we will for sure go back the next time we are in town.
