The first room we went into was the Arts & Crafts room. After being in this room, I am somehow going to find away to put a center in our house where the kids can imagine, create and invent. The tree that they are standing in front of is a place where the children who visit the A & C room leave there name.
Caroline loved this room. She was so happy to beable to just have fun.
This summer, Eddie and I have been working on "school stuff'", cutting, pasting, writing, drawing, etc. so this day was perfect for him. He loved the freedom to just get up and get whatever he needed to complete his project. Newspapers, scraps, buttons, shreds, tape, glue, stamps, paints.....you name it they had it.
Surprisingly they did sit together for awhile.
I have so many pictures of the museum that I had a difficult time deciding what to use for a blog. Here are a few.
Upstairs were model buildings of a community that included the Post Office, a grocery store, a HUGE Firetruck, a classroom, a bank, and a diner. Luckily there was a section for "crawlers" only that I put Caroline in so that I could enjoy Eddie exploring the community. Here he is at what would like an old grocery store.
There were costumes for the children to dress in as well.
